Class Descriptions
our yoga styles:
Hatha Yoga: Simply the physical practice of yoga. Classes all include instruction in the basic postures (Asanas) and breath work (Pranayama) and ending relaxation.

Flow: Hatha poses moving from pose to poses with the breath awareness and intention.

Gentle Yoga and Deep Relaxation: This class is restorative and/or gentle yoga with Guided meditation, or stress-reduction hypnotherapy. All ages, fitness levels, and body types welcomed.

Intro to Yoga: A series designed to give beginning students the foundation they would need to feel comfortable in any level 1 class.

iRest: A guided 10 step meditation protocol. Restorative. 1st, 3rd, & 5th Fridays

Iyengar Yoga: Iyengar-style Yoga is the most common style of yoga practiced in the U.S. Characterized by the use of props (straps, blocks, blankets, etc.), this tradition focuses on precise alignment in the postures.

Prenatal Students: We welcome you to several different classes. The teachers of these classes will know variations you may need as your body changes. Classes you may take are: Monday: 12:00 PM, Tuesday: 8:00 AM, or 9:30 AM, Wednesday: 9:30 AM, or 5:45 PM, Thursday: 9:30 AM, Friday: 8:00 AM, and Saturday 10:00 AM Sunday 8:30 AM. If you have other questions I will respond here answers@cvyoga.com

Regain Motion:  This is an extra gentle class for the student who is stiff or recovering from an injury or surgery. We work mostly from and with a chair as needed.

Restore: A passives class using yin and restorative poses.

Teen Yoga:  This is a standard Hatha class for teens only.

Yin Yoga: Yin is a gentle practice of long held stretches, intended to lengthen and strengthen the connective tissues of the body and improve flexibility and energy flow. The philosophy of Yin draws from Taoist theories, Chinese medicine, and acupressure, as well as Hatha yoga, and is appropriate for students of all levels.

Private Lessons By Appointment: All studio teachers offer private lessons. $75 at Studio $80 in your home. Send an email to answers@cvyoga.com for more information.
